Scuba Diving, Water Skiing & Wind Surfing
Blue Rock is situated on the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, right next to Gordon’s Bay. The only lake in Cape Town with crystal clear water and a depth of 60 metre, it is ideal for scuba diving. The water temperature reaches up to 26°C in the summer – perfect for water sports like water skiing and windsurfing.
Sunset Cruises

Whale Watching
As Gordon’s Bay is the start of the whale route, the majestic Southern Right Whales pay us their annual visit between the months of June to November – which can be heard and seen straight from your balcony. Take a drive along Clarence drive, a lovely trip along the picturesque whale route.
Mountain & Hiking Trails
Situated just outside Gordon’s Bay, Crystal Pools is a beautiful, rock strewn hiking trail – lush with indigenous fynbos and large boulders. After a 45min-1 hour hike through a rocky gorge, you’ll find the first pool and 15 minutes later, the second pool with a gorgeous waterfall.

Somerset West Golf Club and Erinvale Country & Golf Estate are situated a mere 10 minutes from Gordon’s Bay. Both golf courses offer breath-taking views of the Hottentots Holland Mountains and surrounds, with beautifully green surroundings and pristine courses kept in immaculate condition.

Gordons’ bay is situated a stone’s throw away from the Cape Winelands and several award-winning wine farms, with the renowned and prestigious Lourensford and Vergelegen wine estates being a mere 10-15 minutes away.
